SucroseSucrose, in its most simple definition, is ordinary table sugar. It is a disaccharide that consists of hydrogen and oxygen and two monosaccharides, glucose and fructose. Sucrose is usually created by extraction from sugar cane and sugar beets, but is also sometimes extracted from sorghum or sugar beets.Once sucrose is extracted, it is purified and crystallized and can be found raw or refined.
