Policosinol

Policosinol is a nutritional supplement of unprocessed alcohol extracts from the wax of sugarcane, yams or beeswax. Relatively new in the health community, policosinol is the source of major studies that are showing it helps to reduce LDL (bad) cholesterol, increase HDL (good) cholesterol, reduce triglycerides and can help maintain healthy overall cholesterol levels. Studies are showing that it is safe and natural with only very mild, if any, side affects. The recommended dosage of policosinol to help stabilize and reduce cholesterol levels is 10 mg, two times a day.
