SteviaStevia, also known as Stevia Rebaudiana, is an herb that has been used as a natural sweetener for centuries. Stevia is from the Chrysanthemum family of herbs and is grown mainly in China, Japan, Brazil and Paraguay. Recently, it has also been grown in California, England, Ontario and Mexico.Stevia is a great, natural substitute for sugar and is most often used in replacement of sugar for foods and beverages. Stevia is non-toxic, sweeter than sugar, non-caloric, does not raise blood glucose levels and is a healthy choice for cooking and baking for those with diabetes.
