WHY DOES VITAMIN D PLAY A ROLE IN THE INCIDENCE OF MS ?As of yet, no one really knows the answer to this question. The results of the study conducted by the Harvard School of public health found that higher levels of vitamin D seem to correlate to a lower risk of MS. But due to the need for further research in this area (according to an MS society spokesperson), it may be premature to conclude that vitamin D supplements should be used to prevent MS.However, regarding vitamin D supplementation, the Harvard study team found that women using vitamin D supplements were forty percent less likley to develop MS.
