How much beta-carotene is enough ?
Despite the many and varied health benefits for which beta-carotene is touted, beta-carotene, nonetheless, does not have an established Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA). However, the National Cancer Institute suggests that you get at least 6 milligrams of beta-carotene each day.
Ideally, of course, one should obtain beta-carotene through natural sources (via carrots, pumpkins, cantaloupes and other plant sources). However, a wide variety of beta-carotene supplements are available at different retail points.
