How much Carnitine is enough ?

Carnitine is manufactured in the body and, since it is not a vitamin or a mineral, no Recommended Dietary Allowance (RDA) has been established. The normal recommended dose for carnitine appears to be 500 to 2,000 milligrams per day, although doses of up to 4,000 milligrams of carnitine per day have produced no serious side effects.
