You can certainly take too much niacin, or B3. Taking several times the RDA of niacin can cause heartburn, nausea, and headaches for some people. And Doses over 500 mg of B3 daily may cause liver damage if taken for prolonged periods. Anyone with liver disease should take vitamin b3 only under a doctor's supervision.
